A lot of businesses in the beauty industry don’t care about the way they manufacture their products.
They’ll cut corners wherever they can.
Some use cheap filler ingredients that don’t offer any skin benefits.
Some hide nasty ingredients behind pretty labels.
Some source unethical or unsustainable ingredients.
Child labour is an issue in the farming and production of Cocoa & Shea butter, vanilla, mica, copper, and silk.
Deforestation, animal extinction and water pollution are all the result of the harvesting of carnauba wax for lipsticks and mascaras.
Some still test on animals.
Did you know that some companies use Mink fur to produce fake eyelashes?!
Some big brands and even some ‘eco-friendly’ brands are no longer allowed to use the ‘Leaping Bunny’ logo because they regularly test on animals in China.
One thing they all have in common is that they care more about their pockets than anything else.
I refuse to do that because I believe in ethical, sustainable production of my products.
This shows true in the many certifications Embalm Skincare has.
The entire range is Peta certified cruelty-free and vegan, as well as made safe, toxic-free and allergy safe.
And I’m working on adding more certifications to the list.
