We recently had the pleasure to interview our lovely stockist Sarah from Sarah's Family Wellness Centre.
Tell us about Sarah's Family Wellness Centre. What was your inspiration for starting the salon?
I have been a therapist for nearly 20 years and have been blessed to have worked in amazing places with incredible people. I decided it was time to put that experience to use and create something of my own and I noticed a gap in the market for a family friendly spa/wellness centre that catered for the whole family.
What were you doing before you started Sarah's Family Wellness Centre and how did your journey lead to the salon?
I had taken a break from massage and ran the cap debt center at the Tailrace Centre for 3 years. Towards the end of 2019 I decided I'd really missed massage and working in the wellness sphere so I started working from home one day a week to get back into it. Thatβs now grown to a clinic that is open 6 days a week.
What inspires you?
My family inspires me.
What do you love most about running Sarah's Family Wellness Centre?
Getting to help people.
Whatβs something that our readers might be surprised to learn about you/your salon?
That we have a kids creche at Sarah's.
Whatβs your favourite Embalm Skincare product?
Love them all but if I had to choose it would be the enlivening body scrub as a treat.
What did you like about Embalm Skincare that made you want to - not only stock us - but also use our products for the treatments?
I have a rare skin disorder and have to be careful with products I use to avoid a flare up of it. I was looking for something for the clinic, that was free of all the chemical nasties, used natural ingredients to nourish the skin and delivered on its promises in terms of effectiveness. So when I met Mel at a womenβs health event and tried the products I knew Iβd found what I was looking for both personally and professionally.Β
Then when COVID-19 happened and I had to start using hand sanitiser more I was happy to have Embalm Skincareβs Hand Sanitiser. Iβve always been a βwash your hands everytime you walk past a sink kind of personβ and didnβt like hand sanitiser as most of them make my skin react, so there was the added bonus of one that didnβt make my skin chuck a hissy fit.
How do you wind down after a long day at work?Β
A walk home, a soak in the bath and cuddles on the couch with my kids.
